California Cycling

Bill spent three weeks in California in April and managed to get out for a few amazing rides with the local club VC Monterey. Why not do what Bill's done and take the club jersey with you on holiday, take a photo and send it in but it'll be hard to get any further away than West coast USA!

Good effort Bill, flying the flag so far from home. Liked the VC Monterey website and was struck by the pictures of the riders diving down the famous Corkscrew bend at Laguna Seca racetrack. A track that will be familiar to anyone who saw the stunning Moto GP battle between Rossi and Stoner last year....and cyclists only have to pay ten bucks entry fee.

Do cyclists ever get access to closed circuits like this in the GP. Or are they too busy running track days for petrol-heads?

Now that would be good.

Doubt i'll be able to beat the far-flung jersey pic.

I could do Saltcoats if anyone is interested - maybe not quite as glamorous as California but it is on the West Coast all the same :-)
